September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
PITTSBURGH, PA, September 11, 2023 – Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most prevalent cancer in men outside of cancers of the skin. However, PCa is also one of the most survivable types of cancers with a five-year survival rate of close to 100% when diagnosed early. It is crucial to be informed and to know your risk factors.
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month which is a great opportunity to learn about PCa. There are several not-for-profit patient advocacy groups that provide a wealth of information and resources for prostate cancer patients and those who want to stay informed about the disease, risk factors, and treatment options.
