GE P-Port Interface Devices

Dxtx Medical Launches GE 1.5T And 3.0T P-Port eCoil Interface Devices

Part of our success comes from the ability to develop solutions that produce high quality MR images to assist clinicians in their diagnostic and treatment planning work.

Our newest additions to our Interface Device portfolio include the GE 1.5T P-Port ID available for the Artist and Voyager scanners and the 3.0T P-Port ID available for the Premier scanner. These Interface Devices clear the way for our Endorectal Coil to be connected to the latest GE MRI scanners.

The eCoil enhances prostate MRI image quality by providing a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), high spatial and temporal resolution in a focused field of vision. This translates into the sensitivity and specificity needed for multi-parametric and spectroscopy imaging on 1.5 and 3.0T MRI scanners.

The P-Port connector is perfect for newer model GE imaging equipment. The connector enables these GE imaging systems to utilize eCoils and obtain better image quality for prostate imaging. The Interface Device with HD connector remains available for older generations of GE MRI scanners.

CONNECTING TO UNMATCHED IMAGING

The importance of enabling thousands of diagnosticians who use GE imaging equipment to now work with the eCoil cannot be overstated.

The eCoil presents substantial advantages with multi-parametric imaging, especially for inherently signal deprived sequences such as Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) and Dynamic Contrast Enhanced imaging (DCE). The eCoil’s high SNR is needed for DWI and DCE to produce high-quality prostate imaging. The eCoil thus facilitates better lesion detection and localization and staging in prostate cancer compared to body or surface coil imaging alone. And higher quality imaging contributes to a more confident diagnosis as a prerequisite for successful treatment planning.
